Character Bio: Jekka is a battlefield specialist soldier in future times. Her design is of a futuristic soldier with a mixture of tribal/exotic features. She stands at 6’6’’ (5’8’’ without suit), has medium length black hair (she usually keeps it tied back while wearing her helmet), has an athletic build, and weighs 160 lbs (260lbs if you add in the suit’s weight). Her suit is splattered with battle markings and colorful symbols that are meaningful to her faction. Her suit comes issued with a battle helmet but because of a recent battle it was damaged and malfunctioned. She carries a standard assault rifle, combat knife, and various pouches for small supplies and ammo. Jekka mostly works alone or in special conjunction with certain squads of lower ranking soldiers. She takes direct orders from the commanding general. This gives her a bit of a “I’m better than you” kind of attitude but she is still very dedicated and focused on her assignments. She is well known for her skill in battle, which involves taking down enemies in either hand to hand combat or effectively shooting them down. Because of her skill, she has built up a somewhat legendary reputation amongst her friends and enemies. She is one of the only female characters in the game and she is also one of the most feared soldiers of her faction.
Gone in an Instant
It was five in the morning the first day of the offseason, but there is no offseason. Up early to hit the weights and get in some conditioning Andre had the first game circled on his calendar. He had eight months to get into the best shape of his life, this year he was going to compete to be the starter. Every night he would go to bed early. He was driven to make this the best season of his life. Football meant everything to him and nothing else seemed to matter.
Months went on like this and he was gaining muscle mass and getting into incredible shape. Camp was going to open soon and the coaches had been talking about this being the year for Andre. First day of practice and he was there early just like every other day that summer into the weight room.
Coach Carter “Andre looking good, but it takes more then looking good to start for this team”
Andre “I;m ready to prove myself this year coach.”
Days went on hard workouts and learning the system. Andre couldn’t get enough he loved this game it is all he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He had plans to go to the NFL after college and make a career of it. He had the skill set and the attitude to make that dream a reality, but he still hit the books hard and was a good student in college because he promised his mom he would be a college graduate.
Finally the week before the first game Coach Carter called Andre into his office.
Coach Carter ” You are my starter at left guard this year Andre, we can tell you put in the work and have performed in practice.”
Andre “I won’t let you down Sir, Thank you for the opportunity.
The night before the game Andre couldn’t sleep his dream of starting was going to come true. All the early morning workouts and early nights in were going to pay off at last he couldn’t wait for kickoff. He arrived for the game early per his usual routine. The jerseys and pads were laid out beautifully and he suited up for the game.
The first offensive play Andre ran out there to make the start. The ball was snapped and everyone went hard. Andre was hit high then rolled down low and fell. He heard a pop in his back and just laid still on the ground. Time seemed to slow down and he just lay there unable to move. The training staff rushed out and he was carted off the field. All Andre could think was all that work gone in an instance.
At the hospital Andre waits for the doctors to come in and tell him what he already knows.
Doctor “Andre you will probably never walk again and you will definitely never play football again.”
Andre doesn’t respond his dream was ruined he would never play football again. He wonder if he should give up on life too. What would he do now that he could never walk again. Football was all he knew and now that was gone forever there didn’t seem like anything left for him in life. Then his mom walked in and at that moment he realized his knew goal, his knew mission was to walk again. So that offseason he was up early every morning and in bed early every night not for morning workouts to become a starter on the football team, but for morning rehab so that he would walk again and return to school to fulfill a promise he made to his mother.
