Introduction
Members of a custom truck club called “NuGrounds” are interested in creating a poster to advertise a charitable event. Occasionally, they sponsor auto shows that cater to non-profit organizations and charity. These shows mainly consist of various auto/custom vehicle clubs displaying their automotive masterpieces.
Objective
Create a poster to advertise a charitable event in which the proceeds are given to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for the fight against breast cancer. The poster will have a vintage feel that is reminiscent of the “Pinup” era but will also mix in the “Low-rider” concept. The designs, concept and aesthetics are created at the designer’s discretion and choosing.
Audience
Anyone who is willing to lend a hand in the fight against breast cancer and cancer awareness.
Delivery Platform
The poster will be printed on various format sizes up to 24″x32″. It will also be delivered electronically via the web through e-mails and websites.
Roughs and Concept
The client presented me with two photos of the trucks that they wanted to use in the design and I was to choose one. Ultimitely, I chose the black truck mainly because I thought it was visually stronger than the other. I was presented with a stock photo of a “pinup” girl which I was to use in the design as well. The poster will implement the logistics of the event (what, when, where). It would also need to include the “NuGrounds” logo (which I had to recreate from a lo-res scan).
