Every year, around March 23rd and September 21st, the sun sets due west. This means that if you strategically place yourself, and your camera, on an east-west axis then you can capture some amazing reflections off of the downtown skyline facing west. I have made many trips to random locations in hopes of the perfect shot, but on this day in 2004 everything worked out perfectly. It was in September, it was a warm, beautiful day with little cloud cover, and I took about 50 pictures.
You have less than three weeks if you want to try and replicate this shot. Hopefully the sunset Gods work in your favor and you too can capture some amazing beauty.
