Who said cellos weren’t metal?
I’ve seen Apocalyptica once now and im going to see them again this October, who could i not. Their show was one of the best metal shows i’ve ever been too, and that’s including Iron Maiden the kings of live performances. The band comes from finland, but then what good band these days don’t haha. Apocalyptica consists of 4 cellists and one amazing drummer. They started off in their career doing metallica covers but now they play a lot of their own stuff, which i prefer anyway. Though it is funny to see a kirk hammett solo played BETTER on a beastly cello. The lead cellist is the number 3 cellist in the world, and has a permanent spot on the finnish philharmonic but he chooses this style because he is metal at heart.
I’m telling you this october if you have a chance to go, you should. you won’t be disappointed. And it’s got the type of music for everyone, from heavy metal to straight up classical. I’ll be there i know that for sure.
