A Reason to be Stable, by Diana Ciampoli

A reason to be stable

when society is sick,

and i still think im well,

i find myself judging all those people,

living wishes without a well,

some may tell the truth,

while all others continue lies,

they’ve chopped away their roots,

im still held to the earth by mine.

i’ll say a quick hello to some,

im not too eager to shake hands,

for stabbing backs begun,

when man first rulled the land,

Today the sun won’t shine,

but thats no reason not to see,

living holds a reason,

if you believe in honesty.

We seek thrills at sunset,

the beauty somehow fills the air,

it lets those who’ve lost themselves

imagine hope is still out there.

Ill paint a pretty picture

im optimistiC to the C.

Theres no reason in looking backwards

when tomorrows still in front of me.

  1. iamciampoli says:

i love this poem it inspires me to keep going

  2. THIS POEM INSPIRES ME AS WELL. PROBABLY BECAUSE I CAN RELATE TO IT SO MUCH. WHO WOULD HAVE PREDICTED THE LAST FEW MONTHS’ CIRCUMSTANCES? EVERYTHING WILL BE OK D- REMEMBER YOU ALWAYS HAVE A FRIEND IN ME. AND I PROMISE TO ALWAYS BE LOYAL AND HONEST WITH YOU. HOW MANY OTHERS CAN SAY THE SAME???
