- Option 1: Tell a story that describes you or a person you know well or admire
- Option 2: Tell a story about a place you know well.
Suggestions
First, think of the person or place that you want to write about. It might be the kitchen in your childhood home, the branches of a tree you loved to climb, the library, a shop, a beach or a favorite hangout. It might be your grandmother, your child, your best friend, or your favorite musician.
Next, use the prewriting techniques we talked about in class to brainstorm about your topic.
Finally, write a short essay describing the person or place.
