Write and essay that compares or contrasts two topics. It’s often interesting to choose topics that are seemingly similar and then show how they are different. Or, vice versa, choose topics that seem quite the opposite from each other and show how they are similar.
Topic Due
Come to class as scheduled with your chosen topic. We’ll spend some pre-writing time, finding the right slant for your topic, brainstorming and gathering ideas.
First Draft
Type your first draft online and save it as a draft. You do not need to publish it yet.
Print out one copy for our in-class critique.
Final Draft
Revise your first draft (after the in-class critique).
Then publish it.
Suggested Length: 500 – 800 words
