Below are options you might consider if you have three absences or feel you need extra credit to boost your grade.
- Write a summary of any essay in the Langen text. Follow the guidelines offered in Chapter 18.
- Write a summary or critique of a movie, short film, album, song, book, article, exhibit, etc.
- Turn in an additional practice writing for any of the following prompts:
- Describe an unusual family tradition or ritual
- Describe and important lesson that you’ve learned
- Write about the first experience with technology that made you say “Cool!” (or “this is the bee’s knees!” if that’s your phrase). It doesn’t have to be computers. It might be the microwave oven, music downloads, or the curling iron. What was it? How did you react? Did it change the way you did things?
