Spider-Man and Venom are at a bar discussing how they can come to amicable terms on their life long struggle against each other. Being that they are complete opposites but knowing that neither will ever get an upper hand they’ve realized that they need to figure out how to carry on now that they are “friends”
Spider-Man: Ok, well I’m glad we could finally get together and have this meeting.
Venom: Couldn’t you have picked a less conspicuous spot? You know like on a rooftop or some dark alley? I mean, the inside of a crowded club isn’t the best place for me right now. I’m still trying to fight theses killing urges I get from time to time.
Spider-Man: Relax man, I wanted to meet here to see if you could resist those urges, that way I could tell how serious you are about this whole “turning into a good guy thing”
Venom: You mean you put all these people at risk just to see if I was telling the truth?
Spider-Man: Well maybe a little bit but you and I both know that I could take you down in a millisecond if I had to.
Venom visibly bristles at Spider-man’s verbal jab and begins to get restless
Venom: Whatever…
Spider-Man: What’d you mean “whatever”? Every time you’ve ever tried anything I’ve always been there to put your ass right back in place…jail.
Venom (standing up and leaning over the table): Did you ever think about the fact that I like it in jail? Three squares a day plus all the unsuspecting fellow prisoners I can get my hands on…uh that didn’t sound right…anyways, it was great in there. Maybe I should go back and give up this “Good Guy” stuff.
Spider-Man: I don’t have anything else going on tonight so if you keep it up maybe I can pencil you in.
Venom throws the table over and lunges at Spider-Man and a fight ensues.
