We all know that caring for a cat is different than caring for a dog, but how different can it be? A big difference is that cats tend to be a little more low maintenance. Cats seem to rely on humans, or their owners, a little less than dogs do. This might also be a reason why we see more stray cats than stray dogs in the streets. Dogs, on the other hand, rely on humans to feed, bathe, and play with them. Dogs also tend to need more attention than cats do. Cats can lie around the house all day and not mind it one bit, but a dog will be miserable if he is ignored or not taken out for a daily walk. Both of these animals require care on a constant basis. They need to be neutered, have their license, and they need to be vaccinated. Before investing into either of these animals, it is important to be prepared financially. Both of these animals involve your time and care, but interacting with them is just as important.

They also enjoy chasing them around. Even though cats and dogs are great animals, they can also both be aggressive at times. Watching for signs of discomfort in our pets is always important. Overall, both pets can be enjoyable to live with.
Living with dogs, you’ll find, can be a wonderful pleasure. Dogs are known to be extremely loyal animals. After all, they are, “Man’s best friend”. They will be by your side no matter what. Forget to walk them or yell at them for eating your shoes, the smile on your face when you open the door, and see that happy tail wag, is priceless. Cats can be just as loyal as well, but they might express this in a different manner. Cats will be there after a long day of work, giving you silent support as you pet them. They have the ability to purr away all your troubles.
The truth is that both of these wonderful animals will always be around adding extra happiness into our lives. We tend to get so caught up with life and our problems that we forget what really matters. These animals are here to remind us to slow down and relax. They offer comfort, support, and loyalty, never asking for much in return. People will always come in and out of our lives, but our pets, are eternal.
