Are Video Games Art?

I do believe that video games are art. In fact, video games are made up of various forms of art. In order for some players to really enjoy a game and immerse themselves in it, it needs to have a compelling storyline. This is where the writers come into play. For others, they focus more on the character designs and the world that is created for each level. For players like myself, the music is an essential element which adds to the overall experience. So I do believe video games are a form of art, especially now when the latest generation of games created require such a large team to work together creatively to make something grand in the eyes of gamers.
