The most funnest time of the year are the holidays. When I was younger it was a tradition for all of my family to meet up at Grandma and Grandpas house, so all of the cousins, nieces and nephews could see each other, and play and have fun doing things as a family. Grandma and Mom as well as my Aunts would be in the kitchen cooking some of the most aromatic pots of food a young boy or girl could every have the pleasure of smelling. Grandpa and my Uncles would be in the patio area playing domino’s and drinking beer while regulating the small children such as myself. Then when it was time we all would go to the front yard were we would hunt for the eggs. I never could understand what the whole point of hiding the eggs was for, but I did have a good time eating them.
My cousins would always help me find the eggs giving me little hints on where the eggs where, after all they are the ones who hid them. After the games were done and all the eggs where found everyone would sit on the stoop and eat there eggs while laughing a playing. And after all of us ate our eggs we would be called into the house where we would have our plates made for us. Everyone smiling and eating and talking, enjoying every bit of the company my grandma and grandpa would sit back and smile at the beautiful family that they have in this world.
