Who hasn’t awakened from a luscious dream and wanted to hold onto it?
If only there were a camera that could focus its lens deep inside our minds. A shutter speed fast enough for those flickering, fleeting thoughts and emotions. For most of us, in just a few moments, the mood of the dream flatlines, the images evaporate, and the voices go quiet.
If we keep a notebook and pen ready, and when we awaken, sketch or jot down a few words, we can at least capture a glimpse of the dream to hold, longer-term, in our memories.
Try it. You’ll get better and better at catching the fireflies in your brain.
