<itunes:summary>
At the beginning of World War II the Bulgarian government declared itself neutral. At this time, Bulgaria had a considerable military force for a country its size, but they realized it was not enough to insure the countries security. Also, there was concern for the restitution of the Bulgarian territories lost in 1913 and in 1918. In the fall of 1940 Bulgaria succeeded in negotiating the return of southern Dobrudja, which had been lost to Romania in 1913. This led some to believe that Bulgaria could regain much of the lost territory without military involvement in the war.

However, when the German army reached the Bulgarian borders, the monarch and his government had to choose between military confrontation with Germany and alignment with the Axis powers. So, Bulgaria had to join the Axis on March 1, 1941. At first, there was only weak public opposition to this decision, mainly because Russia had signed a friendship pact with the Nazis, and most Bulgarians liked Russia. This strategy was at first a success, since by mid 1941 Bulgaria had regained all lost territories without any military action by Bulgarian forces, and official relations with Russia were maintained, even after the Germany invaded that country.

Bulgaria remained passive, and they tried to avoid completing any assignments given to them by the Axis. Somehow, Bulgaria managed to keep from sending troops to any of the Axis fronts, but they could not avoid declaring a “token” war on the USA and Britain. This was costly, since by 1943 the British and American bombers had nearly destroyed Sofia and other Bulgarian cities. This was probably because Bulgaria was producing materials for the German armed forces, and since Germany used Bulgarian roads, airports, and ports. The Bulgarian government eventually sent troops to fight alongside the Nazis in Croatia and Serbia and other countries. In exchange, the Nazis gave support to defend against Allied bombing.

By now, there was a growing resistance movement within Bulgaria, made up mostly of a communist group that gained popularity since Bulgarians were tired of the bombing and didn’t like the Nazis in their country. Resistance fighters destroyed factories that were helping the German military.

Towards the end of 1943, Tsar Boris Ill died. He was the head of the monarch supporting groups. The heir to the throne, Simeon II, was still too young, so the throne was taken by a regency. The Bulgarian government tried to think of ways to limit the destruction of their country. There were suggestions of making the country a democracy, and they even attempted contacting the Allies to make a deal with them. By mid 1944 the Russian army was approaching the Balkins and defeated the German army there, and Romania then switched sides and declared war on Germany.

In September of 1944 Russia declared war on Bulgaria and invaded. Bulgarian troops did not resist, and the Russians occupied the northeastern end of the country and its two major harbors, Varna and Burgas. Days later, the resistance movement overthrew the Bulgarian government and set up Kimon Georgiev as prime-minister, and declared war on Germany.

Nazi Germany tried to invade Bulgaria but they were beaten back. The Bulgarian army divisions stationed in Macedonia found themselves in a much more difficult situation as they were surrounded by German troops.

Bulgarian armed forces of 500,000 troops launched an offensive against Yugoslavia in order to block the way of the German troops withdrawing from Greece. They suffered great losses, but the Bulgarian armies were successful in liberating Macedonia and parts of Serbia. The German troops that had been cut off in Greece gave themselves up to the British. Bulgarian forces then continued to Hungary. There in March 1945 they had great battles and drove back the [...]</itunes:summary>

Here are a few tips to keep in mind as you’re compiling your animation art to present to potential employers:

1. Include only your best work:

Your demo reel is your “Greatest Hits” album. Only include work that is polished and highlights the skills you need for the job you’re hoping to get. Also, put your best work at the beginning. Time is money—especially in the entertainment industry. If your 3D animation demo reel doesn’t grab your audience’s attention in the first few seconds, they may not stick around to see the whole thing.

2. Make it quick:

A good demo reel is meant to open the door for you—not stay for an extended visit. Save something for the interview. Your demo reel should be long enough to intrigue your audience and show that you have a body of work and a variety of animation skills to bring to the table. Make it three minutes or less. A longer demo reel only indicates that you don’t know how to edit yourself.

3. Be clear about the job you want:

It’s important to be specific. For instance, if you really want a job as a texture artist, make sure that is clearly communicated in your résumé and at the beginning of your demo reel. Also make sure that your demo reel showcases your texture work. Don’t expect prospective employers to know what you’re looking for in a job. If you have a specific interest, spell it out.

4. Give credit where credit is due:

If you collaborated on the pieces in your demo reel, make sure to call out exactly what your part in the project was. This helps employers understand your strengths and what to look for in your work. It also shows that you’re not trying to take credit for other people’s work.

5. Be unique, but don’t go over the top:

It’s good to show that you have creativity, problem-solving skills and a unique way of looking at things. However, there’s a right way and a wrong way to express your individuality. Include pieces that set you apart from the competition by using unique concepts or technique. However, don’t include pieces that might put off potential employers by addressing controversial subject matter or including music or other elements that might appeal to too narrow an audience.

6. Don’t make your audience work:

This is just a good overall rule of thumb. Don’t make your audience work to figure out how to contact you. Don’t make them work to understand what work you did in your pieces. Simplify. Make it as easy as possible for your future employers to figure out that you are the right candidate for the job.

spaceship1

	<itunes:summary>
Yes! I think that Internet dating while you are married or in a committed relationship is cheating.

Some people would argue that because there is not physical contact, it is not cheating. I completely disagree because, when you are committed to someone or married, you have made a promise to only be intimate with that person. Even thought there is no physical contact, intimacy can me exchanged in words or thoughts. Sharing your feelings and desires with that person can turn into admiration and love.

In my own experience, sharing intimacy with someone else hurts just as bad as catching your significant other out on a date with someone else. Sometimes even worse. Because, while cheating could be just a one night stand with a perfect stranger, the Internet relationship could go on and on and transition from Internet to phone calls to actually hooking up. It could progress into a real relationship that could in the end result in a physical interaction that can never be taken back. Many marriages have been destroyed because of what people think that they have found online.

In my opinion, if you are unhappy in your relationship and think that you need something else, you should just break it off. It is not right to hurt the hearts of those who love you just because you may not love them anymore.
