The neighbor's chimneys
In 2003 wildfire swept through Southern California. Ours was among the many neighborhoods that burned in the Cedar Fire. The following work was inspired by this dramatic event.

Fireku
Fireku is haiku, about fire. I tried to get my neighbors to also write Fireku, but so far I believe I’m the sole poet experimenting with this genre.
