English 105 focuses on critical thinking and writing skills helpful for writing college-level essays. During the course we will practice the stages of the writing process (prewriting, organizing, drafting, revising, editing), analyze and deconstruct assigned readings, develop editing, proofreading and peer-reviewing skills, strengthen knowledge of grammar and writing mechanics, and expand our vocabularies.
